Start Now - Get Ready for 2025

The Canadian Chemistry Olympiad (CCO) is an annual event that aims to promote interest in chemistry amongst high school students. Participation in the Canadian National Olympiad Finals and the International Chemistry Olympiad is a tremendous experience and a unique opportunity to travel and meet fellow students from around the world who have similar interests.

Students wanting to participate in the Canadian Chemistry Olympiad will find that the topics and level of difficulty are above those of the provincial and territorial grade 12 curricula. The national and international competitions also place a strong emphasis on laboratory work.

The first few problem sets will build on components of a typical grade 12 chemistry curriculum. Subsequent problem sets while reflect the increasing level of difficulty associated with the practice problems published by the host IChO country.

CCO Learning Curve - Important Dates

For recent Grade 11 graduates and moving onto the Grade 12 chemistry program, ChemistryTutor.ca will assess the students prior learning skills while addressing the areas of weakness. Our tutoring sessions covers all topics for high school chemistry and beyond. Students will find this area of study extremely helpful as it covers all the Grade 12 Chemistry curriculum and beyond at a faster rate, also it will provide the necessary knowledge and problem solving skills required to achieve a much higher mark in their regular classroom.

Students wishing to enter the Canadian Chemistry Olympiad, ChemistryTutor.ca recommends tutoring sessions begin at the latest, in early July.
